About this Maker
Harriet makes striking jewellery that is both colourful and elegant. Her inspiration comes from natural forms, leaves, buds, pods and also fruit and vegetables.
She enamels both on precious metals and on copper and frequently embellishes her pieces with gold and diamonds The silver pieces she makes are skilfully hand engraved under the enamelling to enhance the colour and reflect the light back through the enamel.
Harriet’s copper enamelled work uses bright colours and graphic designs to produce both jewellery and wall art. Her bold designs are contemporary yet timeless, and very wearable, for both men and women.
Harriet graduated from Central School of Art in the late 70’s with a first. She set up her own workshop and now lives and works in Bristol. She has exhibited widely including at the V & A Museum and Goldsmiths Hall. She is a member of the Gloucestershire Craft Guild, Make Southwest, (formally Devon Guild), The Guild of Enamellers and the British Society of Enamelling.
