This bracelet by Louise Mary combines beautiful amethyst with flared silver tube sections. Louise flares each silver section individually with a doming punch, so each piece is ever so slightly different, much like the sections of a bamboo cane, which inspired this design.
Amethyst with its beautiful purple colouration is a prized gemstone of the quartz family. Amongst its healing properties it is thought to relieve stress, dissolve negativity, alleviate grief and sadness, be healing and protective, and is considered a gemstone of peace. Amethyst is also the birthstone for February.
This bracelet measure approximately 20cm in length.

About this Maker
Louise Mary grew up in rural north Herefordshire, and midway through high school, she attended an evening class making silver jewellery. She studied for a degree in Metalwork and Jewellery at Sheffield Hallam University and as part of the course she spent a semester at Kookmin University in Seoul, South Korea. Louise spent a year at the wonderful Bishopland Workshops near Reading and then started her business from her family home back in Herefordshire. Louise now works from her home studio in South Derbyshire.
