Tracey Coverley

'I am a textile artist working in Whaley Bridge on the edge of the Peak District in Derbyshire. I attended Art school in the late ‘80’s specialising in fine art/painting but have found my passion currently lies in textile art.' - Tracey

Tracey works in both 2D & 3D formats, using predominantly fabric and thread. Many of her works are produced using a reverse applique technique together with freehand machine embroidery. She very rarely use anything else other than fabric and thread and builds images by removing layers of material whilst layering up stitches.
