Karen George

Karen works predominantly in acrylic and mixed media and is best known for her semi abstract landscapes and seascapes with atmospheric skies. She works mainly from the studio taking inspiration for colour and subject from a series of sketches and colour studies that she has done on long walks and holidays to wonderful wild places.

Her paintings are semi abstract landscapes and seascapes, inspired by those wild places that make her feel really alive.  Sketching forms the foundation of all of her work; it allows her to embed a place in her mind. Looking back at the sketches takes Karen right back to the time she did the sketch which in turn enables her to paint from within.
