Colin and Louise Hawkins

LoCo Glass is a vibrant Studio Glass partnership formed by Louise and Colin Hawkins in 1998.

The unique qualities of glass as a medium and the many elements of its specialised production provide the inspiration for their distinctive and contemporary collections of freeblown glassware.

Louises relevant study began at Winchester School of Art, where she obtained a foundation diploma in Art. She then went on to study Design at Goldsmiths College UOL, following which she was offered a place at The International Glass Centre in the West Midlands, to train as a glassmaker.

Colin studied glass at Sunderland University for three years. He then continued his training at The Royal College of Art where he studied for his MA in Glass; during this time he came into contact with, and learnt from, some of the countries most prestigious glass makers and designers.
